Another day with my boys!!!

Me, and My Boys!!! (My other Boy is taking the picture:)

Nathan is too funny!! Today, he got to play tee ball for the first time with his Daddy and he was thrilled. Running in the house, he shouted "fun, park, tee ball with Daddy!!" Couldn't even catch his breath to speak clearly. He then proceeded to whip out his tee ball set (while I was cooking dinner), get it all set up, and make some great shots right at the picture frames!! No, nothing broken but he is quite the slugger. Watch out, he is headed to the Big Leagues. Can't wait to watch him play baseball one day, but not too soon. He is still my baby :)
Love the Fuzz on top!!
Ryan ate sweet potatoes for the first time today and loved them!!! We can tell he is going to be our great eater. He is our little "Sweet Potato!" Smiles constantly :)

Right to the Point!!

Nathan and I made these adorable car cakes the other day, and decided that we were going to paint them with icing after dinner. So, all ready to go with our bowls of different colors of icing and our cakes in front of us we started to paint. Well, Daddy and I started to paint. Nathan decided to get right to the point and thought why go to all of that trouble when I am just going to eat it anyway. So, he ate the icing instead!!! Red was his apparently the yummiest color :)

Where to Begin????
It has been too long and life has been rushing by, but I just can't wait anymore. Every time I think about starting on the blog I think of all of the posts and months I need to make up for, and so I get to doing something else. Well, I might not be able to go back and post everything that I want but I need to start somewhere. So, here are the last four months in a nutshell.
Ryan was born on January 10, 2010 and the first couple of weeks were a whirlwind. We ended up back in the hospital with him because his bilirubin levels were high, and so the little man spent a few days under the lamps.

Just breaks my heart, but honestly he was pretty content under the warm lamps.
Family visited, we had the bris, and then we were on our own. (In a nutshell!!) Since then, life has gotten better each day. Nathan grows more affectionate towards his brother everyday and misses him when he is not around. Nathan even rushes to kiss him now, when we pick him up from school. It just melts my heart :)
In the last four months, Nathan has become a little man. He is talking about everything, he wants to do everything independently (he even makes us put whatever back, so that he can start from scratch and do it himself), and he has become pretty manipulative!! Some of my favorite Nathanisms:
1. "I try again." (one, two, three times...until he gets it)
2. "Mustard" (when I change Ryan's diaper)
3. "Yep!" and of course "Nope!" (Nope especially when it comes to time to take a nap)
4. His shopping list:" Mommy pants, Ryan diapers, Nathan chocolate!"
5. "Uh Oh, I dropped it." (as he tricks me into giving him more gummy bears, when all along they are in his hand)
6. Going through the drive-thru at McDonald's and asking him if he wants some fries, his response was "no mommy, red pepper." They don't have red pepper honey, do you want some french fries. "No mommy, I want red pepper." Yes, he loves red pepper and wasn't kidding.
7. "up a banger ee farm, eo, eo,eo!!" His version of Old McDonald Had a Farm. Where Mama Mia's lyrics he sings as clear as day!!
Favorites
Food: Red pepper, fruit, cottage cheese, tomatoes, salad, and pretty much anything that is healthy. We have told ourselves that we need to start eating like our child. His only vice is anything gummy!!
Music: Mamma Mia, Honey Honey, Five Little Monkeys and all of our Music Together songs from class.
Things to do: Go to the Yellow Park, play in his sandbox, play with the garage toys, have playdates with friends, and go shopping down the toy aisle of any store :) Through the winter he was totally into puzzles 24-48 piece jigsaw puzzles, but now he is all into his bikes. ( now that we can go outside and the weather is nice!) Oh, and he Loves to go on train rides and asks to ride on an airplane daily!! I just might have to give in and take him to Disney ;)
Funny things about him: He loves wearing sunglasses on his forehead, he acts out most of his disney movies (sometimes even when the movie isn't playing), he loves singing and playing his guitar, and he has such good manners that he will even correct us and his friends. I have to say that is my favorite. (He even blesses himself, if you don't say "bless you" right away when he sneezes. He also says "excuse me" to everything including the vacuum, toys, etc... if he needs to get by)
If I had to predict what Nathan was going to be when he grows up based on his interests now, I would say that he will be a Kite Flying - Guitar Playing - Well Mannered - Actor!!
Ryan---Well, let's just say he is adorable and definitely his Daddy's clone!! It is undeniable and that is for sure :) Everyone usually says, "OMG he looks just like his Daddy" and then they look at Nathan and say "Oh, and he looks like his Mommy!" It is funny because Nathan has all of my features and Brent's eyes, and Ryan is the exact opposite. He has all of his Daddy's features and my shaped eyes. What will our next one look like??
In the last four months Ryan has been the most smiley (we are talking ear-to-ear smiles), lovey, jibber jabbering little guy. He is so strong and already holds his head up in his car seat, and can sit up by himself on the sofa or floor. It is funny because he will even try to pull on his shirt to get himself to a sitting position in his swing!! So cute.
He really is strong and very happy. We had a little scare and thought that he was going to have to have an operation, but that has self-corrected itself. Yay!!! So, let's just say that he is the most amazing addition to our family and we have been blessed again!
So, those are our boys in a nutshell and below are some great pics. If I think of any must share stories that I have missed from the last four months, I will post them. Well, we are back now and will hopefully be updating the blog more regularly!!
